Don’t Hate Me!
I know I haven’t been updating regularly for a long, long time now. I know it’s probably boring to check the blog because of that. I know, and I’m sorry if you are one of the people who stops by now and then only to find that nothing has changed. I’ve got plenty of reasons for not blogging – the main and most obvious one being having a baby – but really I should have been able to fit in a post here and there. I have been fitting in my reading, after all!
So, here’s the scoop: Right now I’m re-reading the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. I never finished the series because when it came to that last book I just didn’t want the story to be over. I’ve read some of the other things he’s put out since then, but that last book was still just there on my shelves collecting dust.
Now, I’m planning to go from beginning to end so that all those twisty plot points are fresh in my mind when I get to the later books in the series and, eventually, to the end. It’s going to take me a while, but I’m determined!
Once I’m done, I have several new books waiting on me and I’m hoping those will warrant a review since I always want to talk about good books! A few of those I have in mind are non-fiction – I need to broaden my reading habits since I fall back on fantasy and romance so much – and a few of them are specifically for my own interest in homeschooling, so they may not be too interesting for you. BUT, that’s my plan. A couple of new fantasy books, some recently published non-fiction, and books on homeschooling.
I guess it really is a good thing that real life has become so exciting and fulfilling that I’m not glued to books or blogging like I used to be, but I do miss the creative outlet. So, please don’t give up on me entirely and I’ll see what I can do about getting some reviews up. I think the lineup I have is pretty interesting so I see book recommendations in your futures, readers. Start saving book money now.

Hey there!
No worries on my behalf, I get a notification in my Blogger reading list when you have a new post up so I only come in and check on the site then!
I finally started reading the Sword of Truth books last Spring after I got a Kindle for Christmas! I couldn’t really justify adding the weight of a long series to my already groaning bookshelves, so e-books it is! I’ve read the first 2 just so I covered what was shown in the series, then stopped for the summer. Starting up again soon!
Btw, if you feel like you can add something to your blog reading list, I’m starting a new blog on my childhood litterary heroes: King Arthur and Merlin, and Robin Hood!
It won’t be frequent posting, just when I feel like reading or watching something about one of them… but will cover anything in which they are even just mentioned! (books, magazines, comics, TV series, movies, documentaries).
The blog is still kind of in draft format… I set it up last Spring (when I finally figured out the name I wanted), but haven’t had time to make it “pretty” or write the intro etc. I started writing in it this summer when my re-watching of Stargate SG-1 brought me to Season 9 and Merlin as an “Ancient”!
Anyhow, if you’re curious:
